Just came back from the farmer’s market at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto and wanted to share with a quick post showing off my loot, and plans for the rest of the day 🙂
Evergreen is a community centre that inspires visitors and citizens to eat, live and play sustainably! Every Saturday they have a local farmers market so today me and Johnny went to check it out.
It turned out well – we got some great local and organic free range eggs and garlic from Newmarket, sprouts from Shomburg, onions from Woodbridge, and sheep cheese from Fergus.
The vendors were lovely, we learned a lot, and the scenery was beautiful 🙂 There’s even clay-making, educational cooking and craft lessons, and lovely nature trails and gardens. Props to Johnny for being patient with me while I chattered away all morning about how fantastic everything was! ❤
And now we are off to the Green Living Show at the convention centre in Toronto to learn about other ways to establish a green, sustainable, small-footprint life.
I encourage everyone to check out events in their community. Learn more about our gorgeous planet and support the hard-working people keeping it green 🙂 Yeehawwwww!
